Material comes in once, and it is ready
Nobody types in how long a clip runs. It is read from the file, it lands in the catalogue, and it is scheduled from there.

What it does
The boring part of the job, done by the machine.
-
It reads the file
Duration, resolution and codec come from the file itself. Not typed in, so not typed in wrong.
-
Queue and jobs
Send it all at once and the station works through it. Nobody has to sit and watch.
-
History
The result of every file that came in stays on the record, including the one that failed and why.
-
It syncs the library
If material was moved or deleted from disk, the catalogue finds out. A ghost clip in the rundown is a cut to black.
